Chicken Soup for the Soul

If you're like me, you've likely read one or more of the books in the "Chicken Soup for the Soul" series. They pull my heart strings, and I find them inspiring and uplifting.

We'll I've found one more reason to like them. This weekend I had the opportunity to hear Mark Victor Hansen, co-creator of Chicken Soup for the Soul series, speak. I learned how committed he was to not only using his success to help others in need, but also to encouraging others to do so as well. However, what really got my attention in his talk was when he mentioned he is an adoptive father!

After he spoke I had the opportunity to talk with him for a few minutes. I learned that he adopted domestically and is a proud father as you would certainly expect. He was kind enough to have his picture taken with me.

As I've said in one of my That's My Boy blogs, what a small world it is filled with wonderful people. And, who knows, maybe there will be Chicken Soup for the Adoption Soul one day!
