Your Pediatrician is Invited!

Adoption Friends:

Dr. Alla Gordina is truly a wonderful person. As an international adoption pediatrician, she is truly committed to helping adoptive families. I've been blessed to see what I know to be just a tiny glimpse of what she gives from her heart to help those on their adoption journeys. Of course I feel very blessed that she has so generously given of herself to present "Medical Aspects of International Adoption" on ThinkingOfAdopting.com - and from your feedback I know that you also appreciate her committment to helping adoptive families.

One of the things that Dr. Gordina says is that we all have an obligation to be adoption advocates. To help spread the word about adoption -- not just with persepctive parents, but with the members of our community who may work or interact with our children. To educate people such as teachers or doctors who may not have as much knowledge or experience on adoption as we are blessed to have so that they might be better able to help our children.

Dr. Gordina is also a tireless advocate for adoptive families, and she's given us an opportunity to help. She's asked me to make the following information available to you so you could share it with your pediatrician in an attempt to increase their awareness of the magnitude of problems adopted children are facing every day.

Dr. Gordina's note follows. My thanks in advance to you for helping spread the word!
